Northeastern Elementary School

Due to forecasted weather and poor driving conditions, our community daycare will open at 8 a.m., while the Hastings Community Education and Recreation Center (CERC) will be closed tomorrow (Dec. 29) morning. Morning athletic practices are also cancelled.

Decisions regarding afternoon athletic practices and CERC activities will be evaluated at noon tomorrow.

Hastings High School's Youth in Government will give kids an opportunity for a festive night out, complete with Christmas movie and other activities. Save the date!

What a great day at Northeastern! Thank you to all our stylists and barbers for donating their time and expertise! What a fantastic group of professionals to give free haircuts to 100 students!

🎄A big thank you to the Michigan State Police officers and Michigan DNR conservation officers for making this holiday season extra special! They visited our elementary school buildings and took some deserving students out for a Shop with a Cop experience, ensuring every child gets to enjoy a merry Christmas.

🎁 This incredible program is a true testament to the generosity and dedication of our law enforcement, both during the holidays and every day of the year. We're so grateful for their continued service and for spreading holiday cheer to our students. Thank you!!

Northeastern Elementary hosted Santa’s Workshop on Saturday, giving students a chance to create handmade gifts for their parents ... which are the very best kinds of gifts! Their creativity shined, and they came up with some wonderful creations!
